Marcus Rashford deservedly will get the headlines, but Joe Riley was another young player to star on his first Manchester United game at Old Trafford.
Riley was playing at left-back for injury hit United, and did not let his side down in what turned out to be a comprehensive 5-1 victory at Old Trafford.
The youngster featured against Shrewsbury Town on Monday night and did enough to be handed a start by Louis van Gaal against FC Midjtylland.
The first half was a nervous content with the score 1-1 at the break and United 3-2 down on aggregate, before they blew away the Danish champions to win 6-3 on aggregate.
Riley was composed throughout, completing 90.4 per cent of his passes and touching the ball 73 times before being substituted for the returning Marcos Rojo in the 78th minute.
He linked up well with the sensational Memphis Depay, and made two tackles and one interception in the win.
Depay's skills and Rashford's brace were the big talking points from United's win, but Riley really impressed.
Here is a look at how fans reacted to his performance...
