James Milner’s penalty in the fifth minute proved to be the difference between the two sides.
The narrow win means that Liverpool are through to the last 16 of the prestigious European competition 1-0 on aggregate.

Visitors Augsburg had 41% of the possession, took 13 shots of which only three were on target, and earned two corners.
