Julian Dicks agrees with Sam Byram about Alex Song's awful dress sense

Upton Park

The West Ham coach has joked about the midfielder - and isn't the only one!

West Ham United first-team coach Julian Dicks admits Alex Song is the last player he would take fashion advice from, according to the club's official website.

Indeed, in a light-hearted interview, Dicks said Song's dress sense is 'awful' and claims he doesn't get it at all!

The 28-year-old has always been a charismatic player - and an even more eccentric dresser...

Dicks told the West Ham site when asked who the last player he would take fashion advice from is:

"It has to be Alex Song. His dress sense is awful and I don't get it at all."

And the coach's response matches that of Song's team-mate Sam Byram! Indeed the Hammers' January signing recently joked about the midfielder's dress sense and a theme is clearly developing within Upton Park...

Luckily for West Ham fans, Song's football is far better than how his fashion choices are perceived. But, at the same time, such is the strength in depth of Slaven Bilic's squad, the first team could easily cope without the 28-year-old.

Next up for the Hammers is a home Premier League clash with Sunderland at Upton Park, during Saturday's early kick-off.
