John Arne Riise makes his allegiance clear on Twitter after El Hadji Diouf rant

The former Liverpool man has taken issue with two club legends.

Former Liverpool left-back John Arne Riise has made his allegiance clear on Twitter after El Hadji Diouf's latest rant aimed at the Anfield outfit.

Indeed, in an expletive-laden interview, Diouf slammed both Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher.

Carragher duly posted a light-hearted riposte on Twitter - and Riise has backed the former defender, making his allegiance clear following yet another Diouf dig.

Riise posted on Twitter on Thursday afternoon:

Diouf's rant is oddly timed - sounding as though he just can't get over his failure at Liverpool and is basically begging for attention - but no surprise. The Senegalese has done this before and Carragher's calm response on social media sums up the fact it really doesn't bother him.

Next up for the Reds is a Capital One Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

It could be Jurgen Klopp's first trophy as Liverpool manager but even defeat would come after reaching a final - something his predecessor never quite managed.
