John Aldridge reacts on Twitter to Liverpool win... but highlights major flaw

The former Liverpool striker took to social media after the Anfield outfit's progression in Europe.

Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge knows a thing or two about being clinical and he believes the Reds were far from it against Augsburg in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Indeed, Jurgen Klopp's men progressed to the next round of Europe's second-tier competition after a 1-0 win (both on the night and on aggregate) against the Bundesliga side at Anfield.

However, the win only came courtesy of an early penalty from James Milner and Aldridge could feel the nerves during the narrow victory.

And, taking to Twitter after the game, the ex-forward urged Liverpool to be more clinical in the next round.

Being more clinical will also be rather useful in the Capital One Cup final at Wembley this Sunday afternoon. The last time Liverpool played a League Cup final at the famous stadium, a nervy performance saw them need penalties to beat Cardiff City.

Something more akin to their 4-1 win at Manchester City earlier this season would no doubt be preferable for Herr Klopp...
