Gers fans in party mode as they react on Twitter to Hibernian's stunning defeat

Rangers fans are already celebrating after Hibernian lost 3-0 at home to Morton on Wednesday night.

Rangers fans believe the Scottish Championship title is theirs after Hibernian lost 3-0 at home to Greenock Morton on Wednesday night.

Hibs had the chance to close the gap at the top of the table to just five points with a win over Morton, but they suffered a stunning 3-0 defeat at Easter Road.

Goals from Thomas O'Ware, Denny Johnstone and Ross Forbes handed Morton all three points, meaning Hibs stay eight points behind league leaders Rangers, but have now lost their game in hand.

The shock defeat means that Hibs now face an uphill task to catch a Rangers side who have lost only twice in the league this season.

Rangers fans then took to Twitter during and after the game, as supporters began party mode to celebrate what they believe is an imminent title victory.

Gers supporters poked fun at Hibs boss Alan Stubbs for his mind games, given that his side may now have blown their chance at catching Rangers, with just 11 games left to play.

Other fans really have begun celebrating, and are already turning their attention to the Scottish Premiership, suggesting that there's surely no way Mark Warburton's men can throw it away from this position.
