David Gold tweets about Sam Allardyce... Sunderland and West Ham fans respond

Sam Allardyce Press Conference 12/02/2014

The West Ham co-owner has discussed the Sunderland boss's return on Twitter.

West Ham United co-owner David Gold expects his club's supporters to show Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce their appreciation on Saturday afternoon.

West Ham host Sunderland in the Premier League's early kick-off this weekend, sparking Big Sam's first ever return to Upton Park since leaving the Hammers in the summer.

And Gold is expecting fans to respect Allardyce, suggesting he did everything he was asked during his time with the east London side.

However, a number of West Ham fans have responded suggesting the Black Cats boss may have earned a few boos on Saturday.

Indeed, many haven't taken to well to Big Sam's comments about the Hammers and their supporters - both during his time at the Boleyn Ground and since joining Sunderland.

One Sunderland fan also responded to Gold, criticising the West Ham faithful for not respecting Allardyce.

Here's a selection of how supporters replied to Gold on Twitter...
