Confused Derby County fans react on Twitter to Darren Wassall's start as manager

Derby County have won two of Darren Wassall's three matches in charge.

Darren Wassall may have won two of his first three matches as Derby County manager, but the jury still appears to be out on whether he is the right man to take the club forward.

Wassall has been given the job at the iPro Stadium until the end of the season, following the shock departure of Paul Clement at the start of the month.

Wassall had been working with Derby’s youth team, but he was promoted to manager of the senior squad and, result wise, his start has been encouraging.

Although Milton Keynes Dons won at the iPro Stadium in his first match in charge, Wassall has now achieved back-to-back victories to break the Rams out of their slump, which had seen them go winless for eight matches.

Derby have beaten Brentford 3-1 and Blackburn Rovers 1-0 in their last two outings, but their performances have still left question marks.

The Rams were not at their best in beating Blackburn last night, and Wassall’s statements after the match seem to have confused supporters of the Midlands club.

Wassall described Derby’s performance as ‘brilliant’, and while some fans have praised his positivity, others suggest that he needs to be more honest in his interviews.

Here is the best reaction to Wassall’s start from Derby fans on social media site Twitter.
