Tony Cascarino highlights recent form of unsung Tottenham Hotspur pair Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela

The pair have recently been in great form for Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur's excellent season so far has seen plenty of plaudits laid at the door of Dele Alli and Harry Kane in attack.

The English pair have both been magnificent for the club this season but the impact of othern players in the attacking third has been somewhat overlooked as a consequence.

Speaking on Sky Sports News today (24/02/2016) regular pundit and former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino had this to say on Spurs, highlighting two other players for their recent form:

"(Christian) Eriksen has been big as well hasn't he?

"The last few months. He didn't quite start the season as well as he did last year. But the last two months Eriksen's been superb.

"It has all come together. (Erik) Lamela is coming off the bench and looks absolutely frightening. He is lifting the team as an impact player as well. Really good signs."

Eriksen has indeed come good in recent weeks. The Danish international was struggling to get a grip on games at the start of the season. However his form has dramatically improved of late and he scored what might prove a crucial winning goal at the Etihad Stadium in their last Premier League outing.

As for the Argentine this has undoubtedly been his best season yet since arriving at White Hart Lane from AS Roma.

His recent appearances have often been from the bench but unlike the Lamela that first arrived on the scene he now appears to have matured into more of a team player and is having a great impact on games when arriving from the bench.

If these two can carry on their form the Spurs have every chance of taking home some silverware at the end of the season.
