Hull City won 1-0 against Ipswich Town last night.
Diame scored the only goal of the game at Portman Road, as Hull consolidated their place at the top of the Championship table.
The powerful midfielder finished well in the second half, and Bruce felt that the goal capped off a wonderful display from the 28-year-old.
“Mo was man of the match for me, it was a wonderful goal,” Bruce said.
Hull were on the front foot for much of their match against Ipswich, but without Diame’s cool finish they may not have claimed the three points.
Mick McCarthy’s side proved difficult to break down, and Bruce admits that his side’s status as promotion favourites means that teams will sit back against them.
“It was a case of job done. We were up against a really committed team in the first half, which mirrored their manager in terms of effort and endeavour,” he added.
"But we had that bit of class in the second half and we could have actually put the game to bed but we didn't take our opportunities.
"When you are top of the league, you know teams are going to have a go at you and you have to earn the right to play.”
Hull are now unbeaten in their last 11 fixtures, with the team going from strength to strength as the season progresses.
The Tigers are one-point clear at the top of the table, and they have a game in hand over their nearest rivals, Burnley.
