Sheffield Wednesday fans react to an eventful evening for Nuhiu

Atdhe Nuhiu missed a penalty then scored the equaliser for Sheffield Wednesday in their draw against Queens Park Rangers at Hillsborough on Tuesday.

Few Sheffield Wednesday players divide opinion like Atdhe Nuhiu does, and this has never been more evident than in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers at Hillsborough.

The cumbersome striker side-footed a penalty straight at R's goalkeeper Alex Smithies with the score 0-0, before equalising with a deft header in the 63rd minute, after Daniel Tozser had rifled the visitors ahead.

It was only the third Championship goal Nuhiu had scored all season, but the sixth he'd been directly involved in in his last 11 league outings, and was a reward for an improved performance post penalty miss.

The Austrian barely put a foot - or head - wrong after that. But while some Owls fans we're keen to see the positives in his display, others could not overlook the earlier gaffe from 12 yards.

The Twitter reaction was inevitably mixed. Let's start with the haters:

This guy had a valid point...

Others refused to dwell on Nuhiu's miss, however, and the consensus among many was that he was one of the Owls' star performers on the night...

Others, though, remain unconvinced...
