The winger has been attracting interest from two other Premier League sides, as well as Bayern Munich.
Southampton are reportedly hopeful that finishing the campaign inside the Premier League's top four will help them enormously as they try to tempt Sadio Mane into staying with the club, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Senegal international has been linked with both Manchester City and Manchester United, as well as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich (via Mirror). And while the Mirror suggests that the 23-year-old is interested in leaving the club, it appears that the Saints are confident that they could still persuade the winger to stay.
Having offered the former Red Bull Salzburg man improved terms on his current contract, the Mirror reports that Ronald Koeman's men believe that qualifying for next season's Champions League may be the factor that keeps Mane at the club.
However, achieving that goal is certainly going to be a hugely tough ask for the side. They currently find themselves seven points adrift of the Citizens in fourth, and with three of their remaining 12 fixtures pitting them against teams in the top four - including a home game against Manuel Pellegrini's men in April - it is unlikely that many will back them to make it.
One thing that will give Koeman confidence that there is still hope for them is their current form. Since Fraser Forster's long-awaited return, the club have won five out of six games and have not conceded a single goal in that run.
