QPR fans react on Twitter to Daniel Tozser’s performance v Sheffield Wednesday

QPR managed to secure a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday evening.

QPR fought hard to secure a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday.

The Rs took the lead through Daniel Tozser, before Atdhe Nuhiu equalised the tie six minutes later.

There was no further breakthrough, meaning QPR will be the happier team coming away from Hillsborough, having taken a point off a team with plans to secure playoff football this season.

There were some strong performers in the QPR side, with goalkeeper Alex Smithies saving a penalty from Nuhiu, and Grant Hall imperious in defence.

However, Tozser’s goalscoring display stole the headlines, having seen the Hungarian midfield excel after enduring a tough season.

Tozser played a key role in leading Watford to promotion last season, but he has struggled this term, and has often come under criticism from the Loftus Road support.

However, his performance against Wednesday was top class, and his goal capped the excellent game.

Tozser managed three shots, completed 76% of his passes, won one tackle and touched the ball 50 times in an all-action midfield display.

Following the game, QPR fans took to Twitter to react to Tozser’s performance, with many showing surprise at just how good the Hungarian midfield was.
