Tottenham Hotspur will go through in the Europa League if they keep a clean sheet on Thursday evening.
Spurs managed to grab an important away goal after drawing 1-1 in Italy last week, meaning that if they keep a clean-sheet at White Hart Lane on Thursday they will make it into the last 16.
However, Pochettino has suggested that he will not be taking a defensive approach in the tie, and he will be insisting that his Tottenham team go for the jugular.
Tottenham’s first leg match against Fiorentina was a rather tepid affair, and Pochettino’s side may feel that they deserved to win.
Spurs did much of the pressing throughout the match, but even after taking the lead through a Nacer Chadli penalty, they were unable to claim the victory.
A deflected long-range effort from Federico Bernardeschi levelled the scores and leaves the tie still hanging in the balance.
Tottenham are still the favourites to get through, however, especially as Pochettino looks set to name a strong line-up.
Although the Lilywhites are challenging for the Premier League title, Pochettino is determined to get Spurs challenging in Europe, and they are set to name a team which is close to full-strength against La Viola.
