Marcos Rojo and Adnan Januzaj react after returning to Manchester United training

Old Trafford

The pair will soon be playing for Manchester United once more.

Manchester United duo Marcos Rojo and Adnan Januzaj have both taken to Twitter to celebrate their return to first-team training this week.

The news will be welcomed by United manager Louis van Gaal who has seen his side suffer a huge spate of injuries in recent times.

Among those currently out are captain Wayne Rooney, Luke Shaw, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Matteo Darmian and Ashley Young, but there was better news regarding Januzaj and Rojo.

The latter has been out of action since late November with a shoulder injury, missing the last 17 matches in all competitions as a result, while the Belgian international picked up a minor hamstring injury shortly after returning from his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund.

United’s next match is a Europa League clash with FC Midtjylland on Thursday evening, and while neither player is likely to be risked so soon they will be available for the vital matches just around the corner.

Taking to social media on Tuesday, Januzaj wrote, “Happy to be back in training with Joel Castro Pereira ,” who is a young goalkeeper at Old Trafford.

As for Rojo, he wrote, “Happy to be back training with the team and getting back ready to play.”
