West Ham United playmaker Manuel Lanzini has told the club's official website that he thinks team-mate Dimitri Payet is 'an amazing player'.
Lanzini, 23, has impressed this season having joined from Al-Jazira on a season-long loan deal, and has notched four goals and two assists in all competitions.
However, the Argentine has suffered some injury problems of late, having played just 84 minutes of football from the beginning of December to before Sunday's FA Cup game against Blackburn Rovers.
Manager Slaven Bilic used the Blackburn game to give Lanzini 23 minutes of playing time at the end of the game, and he managed to pick up an assist in an encouraging cameo.
Now, Lanzini is back in contention to face Sunderland this weekend - but whether he will play is another matter. Michail Antonio has starred out wide in Lanzini's absence, whilst playmaker Dimitri Payet is taking English football by storm.
In West Ham's 5-1 win over Blackburn, Payet notched two more stunning goals, again underlining just how special he is - and Lanzini admitted that he thinks Payet can perform crazy moments of skill, similar to his former team-mates Ariel Ortega and Deco.
Lanzini also told the club's official website that he thinks new signing Emmanuel Emenike - who also scored twice against Blackburn - is a 'good player', and was happy to see the Nigerian pick up his first goals in the famous claret and blue shirt.
"We have Payet and he is an amazing player and is different from anyone else, just amazing!" said Lanzini. "I played with Ariel Ortega at River Plate, Deco at Fluminense and some amazing players, and Payet is a very good player with a very good touch. I look at Payet and what he can do and it is crazy!"
"Emmanuel is a good player for us and I am very happy for him scoring two goals. That’s good for him," the playmaker added.
What have you thought of Emenike so far?
