Former Arsenal ace Nigel Winterburn says Tottenham worry him, but he does not believe they will win the title.
Arsenal currently sit third, two points behind Leicester, and behind Tottenham on goal difference. The Gunners face Manchester United at Old Trafford at the weekend before visiting White Hart Lane for the North London derby.
Winterburn said: "Leicester [are the biggest challengers] because they’re still top and haven’t got any other distractions with regards to a European competition.
"Manchester City will still be there, although they’re a few points adrift. They are the team in the last few years that I would class the team with real experience of winning the league, and Tottenham are a team that worry me because the stats point to them having a very successful season.”
Asked if he could see Tottenham actually going all the way and winning the title, Winterburn answered abruptly: "Definitely not."
The North London derby in early March promises to be a pivotal fixture, and one which could turn the title race one way or another. Winterburn's former teammate Paul Merson is already looking nervously regarding the title race, telling Sky Sports Fantasy Football Club Podcast last month he would wear a Spurs shirt on television if Tottenham finish above Arsenal.
Arsenal face elimination from the Champions League after losing 2-0 at home to Barcelona, while their FA Cup progress is not assured after drawing 0-0 with Hull City, they face a fifth round replay at the KC Stadium.
