Central defender Reid has been out of action since the FA Cup replay against Liverpool, when he was substituted out of the game. He has missed the following two games - against Norwich and Blackburn - but should be restored to the starting XI this weekend.
Carroll endured another problem in his injury-hit season prior to the game against Blackburn, and was forced to sit out of the FA Cup tie.
However, rather than the striker missing another few weeks of the season, this problem does not appear to be as long-term, and Gold believes the English striker will be available this weekend, with Carroll looking to make his 21st appearance of the campaign.
The Hammers host relegation threatened Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, looking to continue their great season and further improve their chances of qualifying for European football.
A win for Slaven Bilic’s side could send them as high as fifth, and the returning Reid and Carroll could prove extremely valuable in the Hammers enjoying a strong end to the season.
