Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told Sky Sports Now, which was broadcast on February 23rd, that Hibernian boss Alan Stubbs is right to predict that his side could take the title fight down to the wire.
Stubbs recently suggested that he felt that the battle for the Scottish Championship would not be decided until the closing stages of the campaign.
And Warburton totally understands Stubbs’ mentality, suggesting that he would be thinking exactly the same if he was in charge of Hibs.
"You’d look at that, and if I’m Hibernian I’m saying we’re five points behind - if they lose one and we win it, we are two points behind and we still have to play them," he said. "We recognise that, but all we can do is control our end.
"Our end is to go and perform week in and week out. Every time we win it’s relentless."
Rangers are currently eight points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship table, but Hibs do have a game in hand.
Stubbs’ side are unbeaten in their last 10 matches, and they have had to be in such good form to keep pace with Rangers.
The Light Blues have so far been consistently excellent, and they have lost just two matches all season.
Rangers have a healthy lead at the top of the Scottish Championship, but Warburton’s side have not looked quite as dangerous in recent weeks - even though they have kept winning.
Rangers will take on Hibs on either 19th or the 20th April, in what could be a season-defining match for both clubs.
