Rangers boss Mark Warburton has high praise for Tottenham Hotspur's youth system

The club have sent plenty of talent to Warburton in recent times.

Rangers boss Mark Warburton has impressed at Ibrox this season, as the Scottish giants finally look ready to return to the top flight of Scottish football after an enforced absence.

Part of his good work has come from bringing in top talent on loan from English clubs - including Tottenham Hotspur.

He has Dominic Ball at the club and previously Nathan Oduwa impressed for Rangers. He also had the likes of Alex Pritchard on loan when he was manager at former club Brentford.

So the Rangers boss clearly has an excellent relationship with Spurs.

He spoke to Sky Sports News today (23/02/2016) about that relationship and what he thought of the young players he gets from the Tottenham Hotspur academy:

"We speak to, again, the quality staff. People like Paul Mitchell, John McDermott, Dean Rastrick. We deal with the club and the people (there) are all in tune. It is one consistent message that you ever hear coming out of the club and again it speaks volumes for their ethos and philosophy.

"We have always been impressed by that. Impressed by the way that players arrive at Rangers. Their conduct and manners, their professionalism, their desire to work hard. It speaks volumes for Tottenham Hotspur."

He is clearly very impressed with the way the young talent is produced at Hotspur Way.

That excellence in youth development is currently showing in the Tottenham first-tea with the likes of Harry Kane, Ryan Mason and Josh Onomah just a few of the impressive players in the Spurs squad who have come through the youth ranks.

Hopefully they can continue to do so, and in Mark Warburton they will always have a willing taker for any impressive loanees.
