Speed trader XTX Markets has hired Goldman Sachs director Jigar Patel to head its electronic commodities business.

Bloomberg News reports that Patel will start at the electronic market maker in May, according to a statement from XTX on Monday. His LinkedIn profile says he was a director at Goldman.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that Credit Suisse said it hired Steven King from Morgan Stanley to drive its sales of algorithmic trading services in the Asia-Pacific region.

King joined Credit Suisse last week as the Hong Kong-based head of advanced execution services sales, Asia Pacific. He led Morgan Stanley’s program trading desk in Asia and had worked at the bank for 18 years, Credit Suisse said in an e-mailed statement on Tuesday.
