Tottenham will take on Fiorentina at White Hart Lane in the second leg of the Europa League round of 32 tie on Thursday evening.
The first leg played at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence last week ended in a 1-1 draw.
Owen believes that the Premier League outfit will win the second leg and progress through to the last 16 of the Europa League.
“Spurs are now challenging for Trophies on just two fronts after their FA Cup loss to Palace, but they had a great result in Florence last week and I expect them to ease through in what promises to be a fabulous night at White Hart Lane,” the former Newcastle United striker wrote on Betvictor.com.
“The Viola had a terrific win at Atalanta on Sunday and are a good side but Spurs can bounce back from their weekend loss to the Eagles.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Spurs to win at 3/4.”
Since the first leg ended 1-1 in Italy, a goalless draw in the second leg at White Hart Lane on Thursday evening will be enough for Tottenham will go through.
Playing at home will certainly give Spurs an advantage, but they cannot become complacent as Fiorentina are a strong side.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham head coach Mauricio Pochettino fields his strongest available lineup.
The North London outfit will take on Swansea City at home on Sunday afternoon, and that is a big game for Spurs in their quest to win the Premier League title this season.
