Sean Dyche’s side have steadily climbed up the Championship table this season, and they are one of the most in-form sides in the division at the moment.
Forest have also put together a strong run of results recently, but Holloway feels that the Reds will come up short at Turf Moor this evening.
"Burnley will be top of the table come 10pm on Tuesday," Holloway said. "They're on the charge and have the right man in their corner, who has been here before and done it.
"Sam Vokes didn't let me down at the weekend getting the first goal (get in!). He's good for the first goal again. His experience will be vital in the run-in."
Burnley have gone quietly about their business this campaign, but they are currently in the automatic promotion spaces.
The Clarets are in second place in the Championship standings, having put together a 10 match unbeaten run in the league.
Forest, meanwhile, have not been able to make it out of the mid-table position that they have been occupying for much of the season.
Dougie Freedman’s side are currently occupying 11th spot in the Championship table, and they are 11 points back from the play off spaces.
Burnley go into this evening’s match having won 2-0 against Rotherham United in their most recent outing, while Forest were beaten 2-0 by Huddersfield Town last weekend.
