Pundit Owen Hargreaves has told BT Sport that he thinks Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino are building something 'incredibly special'.
Tottenham currently sit second in the Premier League table, and are only two points behind league leaders Leicester City as the race for the title hots up.
Having lost just three games in the Premier League this season, Spurs are rightly considered to be one of the favourites for the title, as they battle Leicester, Arsenal and Manchester City for top spot.
It's an unexpected charge for the title from Spurs, but manager Mauricio Pochettino has worked wonders; from building the league's meanest defence, to developing youngsters like Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane, the Argentine has turned Tottenham from Europa League contenders to one of the top dogs in the Premier League.
Their success has prompted some suggestions that the likes of Alli, Kane or even manager Pochettino could be lured away by a big-spending club such as Manchester United or Real Madrid, but chairman Daniel Levy will surely be desperate to keep everybody at White Hart Lane.
Now, pundit Owen Hargreaves has told BT Sport that he thinks Tottenham are building something special, and his big hope is that Tottenham's players and manager Pochettino will stick together for years to come, as they could contend for the title in the future too, not just this season.
"I think Spurs are building something incredibly special," said Hargreaves. "They've got a group of players, very talented players, and a very good coach who is tactically very good. You give those players confidence, they get a bit of success and then they have the hunger for it.
"Hopefully this team can stay together for years to come, because I believe Spurs can win the league if they don’t win it this season," he added.
Do you think Tottenham can keep their squad and Pochettino in tact?
