The trio all sat out of Newcastle’s friendly against Lillestrom last weekend, but McClaren is not expecting their absences to be long term ones.
Instead, the former England boss is hoping to welcome all three of the midfielders back to training tomorrow.
“Vurnon (Anita) and Siem (de Jong) will be back in full training on Tuesday, and it was the same with Jack Colback - he had a little niggle, so we didn’t risk that,” he said.
“They will train this week, and get ready for the last 12 games.”
Newcastle are currently in La Manga, participating in a week of warm weather training.
The Magpies have a clear schedule until the start of March, and McClaren has been eager to use the time away from competitive action to get his players on the training ground.
Anita has been out with injury since December, while De Jong has not played for the Tynesiders since the middle of January.
Newcastle are also set to welcome Papiss Cisse back from injury in the coming weeks, with McClaren’s options set to increase.
It is not all good news of the injury front, however, as the Chronicle do suggest that Fabricio Coloccini could be set to miss a month, after picking up an injury training.
