Neil McCann has told Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on the morning of 22nd February, that he believes Hibernian have assembled a stronger squad than Rangers.
Hibs have a large amount of players, and they have shown their quality throughout the season so far, by keeping pace with Mark Warburton’s side.
And McCann believes that Hibs actually have more strength in depth in their side that Rangers do, but he has backed the Light Blues to win the Scottish Championship title.
"Looking at the squad that Hibs have assembled, I would argue that it could be stronger than Rangers’, when you look at it," he said. "But I still make Rangers favourites [to win the league]."
Rangers are currently seven points clear of Hibs, but Alan Stubbs’ side do have a game in hand.
Hibs have not been beaten in any of their last 10 matches, and they have managed to remain in contention to win the league.
Rangers were actually the last side to beat Hibs, and that victory seems to have inspired Warburton’s side.
The Light Blues are undefeated in their last 11 matches in all competitions, and they have scored 27 goals over that time.
Rangers’ next match comes against St. Mirren at the weekend, while Hibs are set to take on Greenock Morton on Wednesday evening.
