Henri Lansbury keen to point out West Ham fact from his spell at the club

Do you remember Henri Lansbury's brief spell in goal for West Ham?

Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury has proud memories of his emergency spell in goal for West Ham United.

The Hammers reminded their fans on social media of the 2012 match against Blackpool, which saw the former England under-21 international have to fill in between he sticks.

West Ham won the Championship clash despite having Rob Green sent off with 35 minutes to go, and had not named a substitute goalkeeper on the bench, meaning an outfield player had to fill in.

Lansbury responded to the post yesterday, keen to point out a key fact from the fixture - that he was not responsible for the Hammers conceding, with the Blackpool goal scored when Rob Green was on the field.

The midfielder was on loan from Arsenal at the time and scored just one goal for the club. He signed permanently with Nottingham Forest the following summer, where he has remained since.

He is currently out with an injury, but it is good for Forest to know they really do have an all round talent in the 25-year-old.

West Ham won 5-1 against Blackburn yesterday, progressing into the FA Cup quarter-finals.
