West Ham United beat Blackburn Rovers yesterday, while Hull City drew 0-0 with Arsenal on Saturday.
Payet was majestic in West Ham’s 5-1 win over Blackburn Rovers, while Jakupovic pulled off numerous saves as Hull City picked up a 0-0 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
And Redknapp was very impressed by the pair, suggesting that they were two of the best performers of the last round of FA Cup action.
"The performance of the round has to go to Hull's Eldin Jakupovic, who was outstanding against Arsenal with 11 saves," Redknapp said. "Dimitri Payet also proved he is one of the signings of the season, an effortlessly classy player who makes it all look so easy."
Payet’s reputation at West Ham just continues to rise, and his performance against Blackburn was nothing short of sensational.
The French midfielder looked a class above, as he orchestrated West Ham’s win over their Championship opponents.
Payet scored the Hammers’ second goal in the contest, with a long-range free-kick, before wrapping on the scoring late on.
Jakupovic, meanwhile, made a number of brilliant saves in Hull’s match against Arsenal, as he helped the Tigers keep a clean-sheet against Arsene Wenger’s side.
Jakupovic is actually Hull’s second choice goalkeeper, but he proved his quality in London.
The replay date for Hull’s match against Arsenal, which will take place at the KC Stadium, is yet to be confirmed.
