Everton's David Henen makes clear his top priority

David Henen says he is determined to make it at Everton.

Belgian prospect David Henen has reminded fans his only goal is to make a success of himself at Everton.

The forward is into his second season with the Toffees but is not in the first team picture at present, currently out on loan at League One side Fleetwood Town. He has made 11 appearances on his loan spell so far, netting once.

Henen was commenting on Twitter late last night, with a short and simple message re-affirming his commitment.

The 19-year-old winger is a Belgian youth international and has a contract at Goodison Park until June 2018.

He is yet to make a first team appearance for Everton, but has scored five goals in 21 games for their under-21 side.

This is his first chance out on loan in England, and if he succeeds at Everton then his experience in the Football League, allowing him to play competitive football in the country for the first time, will surely be seen as a key learning curve in his success.

His big challenge will be in pre-season next year when he returns to the club and will hope to prove to manager Roberto Martinez he is a more developed and better player.
