Delighted West Ham fans react on Twitter to Manchester United win

Plenty of West Ham supporters prefer facing Man United to Shrewsbury Town!

So it's Manchester United for West Ham United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Co-owner David Sullivan was disappointed to have been drawn away yet again in this season's competition - and with the fact their last-eight tie would likely come at Old Trafford.

But plenty of supporters have reacted far more positively on Twitter.

Indeed, a lot of West Ham fans would rather face Manchester United than Shrewsbury Town!

United beat the lower-league side 3-0 on Monday night - at a time when a victory for Louis van Gaal's men is never certain.

West Ham drew 0-0 at Old Trafford earlier this season and will have to match that result or better to reach Wembley.

The Hammers faithful will remember reaching (and losing) the 2006 FA Cup final all too well. But that was at the Millenium Stadium. The chance for something special at Wembley this season is a very new and exciting prospect.

But they'll have to get past Manchester United if they want to go all the way - here's how West Ham fans have reacted to drawing them on Twitter...
