According to the Mirror, Swansea City are ready to sign Hal Robson-Kanu on a free transfer this summer.
The report claims that the Reading ace’s contract is set to expire this summer and after failing to agree a new deal thus far Swansea are leading the race to sign him on a Bosman at the end of the season.
The Wales international has built up quite a reputation in recent seasons, first breaking through with Reading before playing a key role in Wales’ qualification for the 2016 European Championships.
The 26-year-old is predominantly a winger, and he made his first real impression during the 2012/13 campaign where he managed seven Premier League goals in 25 appearances.
He has not been as prolific in the Championship this term, but his performances have been decent nonetheless and he tops the club’s assist charts with a respectable five from 16 starts.
The Mirror says that both Swansea and Aston Villa had bids rejected for him last month, but with his contract winding down the Premier League duo can negotiate a free transfer as of now.
Robson-Kanu came through the Reading youth ranks and after two successful loan spells he has established himself as a key player at the Madejski Stadium making more than 200 appearances to date.
