Mark Lawrenson's surprise verdict on Slaven Bilic's signings at West Ham

The pundit has been discussing West Ham's summer and January signings.

Pundit Mark Lawrenson continues to surprise West Ham United fans by lavishing praise on the east London club, according to BBC Football.

Lawrenson has become infamous for siding against West Ham in his punditry and weekly pre-match predictions.

But, in recent weeks, the Hammers have taken action...

How? By simply being so good Lawrenson is forced to praise them! Indeed, they beat Blackburn Rovers 5-1 in the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon and the pundit was praising them even before kick-off.

He feels Slaven Bilic's signings have all been 'great' and believes West Ham have 'a bit of everything.'

Lawro told the BBC: "I think all of Slaven Bilic's signings have been great.

"West Ham have had so many injuries but they have coped with them and shown they have a fantastic spirit. They are really strong and can be physical too. They've got a bit of everything."

Emmanuel Emenike and Dimitri Payet are just two of Bilic's signings who shone against Blackburn on Sunday.

Emenike's goals will do his confidence a world of good, while Payet... well Payet is Payet.

Next up for West Ham is a Premier League clash against Sunderland, where they will be reunited with a certain Sam Allardyce.
