Tottenham lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace in the fifth round of the prestigious cup competition on Sunday afternoon.
Martin Kelly’s goal in first-half injury time proved to be the difference between the two teams at White Hart Lane in North London.
The defeat will have come as a disappointment to Spurs fans, but former Liverpool defender Carragher has suggested that it is a good result.
The former England international seems to suggest that the defeat to Palace is as good a result as the 1-1 draw with Fiorentina in the Europa League on Thursday and the 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend.
After Man City & Fiorentina another good result for Pochettino & Spurs!— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) February 21, 2016
The defeat to Palace means that Tottenham now have one fewer competition to worry about.
The North London outfit can now concentrate only on the Europa League and the Premier League.
Winning the Europa League is not going to be easy for Spurs, but they certainly have a good chance of clinching the league title in England.
