Celtic beat Inverness 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, as Patrick Roberts made his debut for the club.

Celtic picked up a vital win on Saturday afternoon, beating Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3-0 in the Scottish Premiership at Celtic Park.

The Bhoys have come in for criticism of late, but after beating Ross County 2-0 last weekend, Celtic made it two wins and two clean sheets in a row.

Following a frustrating goalless first half, Celtic took the lead after half time, with Gary Mackay-Steven giving the Bhoys the lead, before Leigh Griffiths struck twice to seal all three points.

After the final whistle, Celtic players took to Twitter in order to react to an important win, with January signing Erik Sviatchenko celebrating another clean sheet having impressed since his arrival from Midtjylland in January.

Goalscorer Mackay-Steven suggested that Celtic weren't at their best against Inverness, whilst two-goal hero Griffiths was happy with his two goals and the clean sheet, before looking ahead to Friday's game against Hamilton Academical.

New signing Patrick Roberts came off the bench to make his debut in a ten-minute substitute appearance, having arrived on loan from Manchester City on deadline day at the start of the month.

The winger had been limited to Under-21 appearances, but came on to make his Celtic debut on Saturday, ahead of what should be a fruitful spell until he heads back to City in the summer of 2017.
