Bilic names five impressive West Ham players after Blackburn win but hails team importance

West Ham United are in the last-eight of the FA Cup.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic has been speaking after his side’s FA Cup fifth round match against Blackburn Rovers with his comments later posted on the Hammers’ official Twitter account.

Bilic watched as his side ran out 5-1 winners despite initially going behind as two goals apiece from Dimitri Payet and Emmanuel Emenike and a strike from Victor Moses sent West Ham into the quarter-finals.

Payet and Emenike obviously stole the show and generated plenty of headlines in the immediate aftermath, but Bilic suggested that it was the stability offered by those playing further back that allows West Ham’s attacking players to shine.

“We have pace with Emenike, Moses, (Michail) Antonio and we have Payet and (Manuel) Lanzini,” Bilic said.

“We have stability. I know Payet and Emenike will get all the headlines but it is basically the team (that should get praise) like it always is.”

It is right for Bilic to flag up the contribution of all West Ham’s players and every single one of them will play a vital role between now and the end of what could well be a truly outstanding season in the club’s history.

Next up for the Hammers is a Premier League clash with Sunderland that takes place next Saturday at Upton Park.
