Photos: Tony Pulis and young West Brom fan's expressions sum everything up

West Brom

It was a disappointing day for the Baggies in the FA Cup on Saturday.

A 3-1 defeat to Championship side Reading was certainly one to forget for West Brom.

Even putting the incident where a fan threw a coin at skipper Chris Brunt to one side, there was little to cheer for the Baggies.

And two photos summed up their poor day on Saturday - one of boss Tony Pulis looking glum and one of a young supporter looking upset while holding a replica FA Cup trophy.

West Brom's Premier League survival is far from guaranteed but, should the Baggies stay up, it's still going to go down as a wasted season.

A strong Premier League finish looks out of the question considering how Pulis has his side playing currently. That meant their hopes and dreams were pinned on reaching the FA Cup last eight - or better.

Sadly, that's no longer a possibility. And it's not necessarily West Brom's exit itself but the way they were eliminated from the FA Cup that will dent supporter confidence...
