Karren Brady offers her opinion on Eden Hazard

Hazard Dribble - Chelsea v Maribor

Eden Hazard has not been in good form for Chelsea this season.

West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady has given her opinion on Chelsea star Eden Hazard’s form this season in her football diary in The Sun.

“Hazard’s apparent disaffection with Jose Mourinho’s title-winning team might go some way to explaining why the Belgian has scored only one goal so far this season,” Brady wrote in her football diary in The Sun (Monday, February 15 entry).

“He has looked a near-static imitation of the figure who twisted opposition defences into knots and was voted Player of the Year a few months ago.

“It is very much Chelsea’s business whether they sanction Hazard but stand-in manager Guus Hiddink did not like his attitude and says so. I wonder how his team-mates feel.”

Hazard’s form so far this season has been hugely disappointing, and he does not look like a world-class footballer at all.

The Belgium international, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has not scored a single goal in 23 Premier League appearances so far this campaign.

The 25-year-old has created 50 chances, has a pass accuracy 84% and a shot accuracy of 47%, and has won nine headers, 58 dribbles and eight tackles.

In seven Champions League matches this season, Hazard has not scored even once, has created eight chances, has a pass accuracy of 85% and a shot accuracy of 44%, and has won two headers, 23 dribbles and three tackles.

Chelsea are 12th in the Premier League table at the moment with just 33 points from 26 matches.
