Jermaine Jenas comments on Massimo Cellino and sad Leeds United

Leeds went out of the FA Cup to Watford this afternoon.

Leeds United were in FA Cup action today, facing Watford of the Premier League at Vicarage Road.

Unfortunately this is where the cup journey would end for Leeds. A miserable own goal from Scott Wootton saw them lose the tie 1-0 in Hertfordshire.

Leeds' season, in terms of excitement, is now seemingly over. They look destined for mid-table obscurity and thew Leeds fans can again put another season behind them.

Once again some of the travelling support expressed their vocal dissent toward current Leeds owner Massimo Cellino today.

Leeds are struggling for stability at the moment and for one pundit, he thinks it is sad.

Speaking to the BBC Football Focus show this weekend (20/02/2016) former Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur player Jermaine Jenas had this to say:

"When you look at Leeds United I almost just feel sad for them.

"It's ten years ago they had a real opportunity to get back in the Premier League and got badly turned over that day by Watford.

"When you look at the owners they've had over the years as well. It has just not been very stable and with the stuff that's going on now. With Massimo Cellino, I think he's still under investigation, if I'm right?

"I think that kind of shows where the club is at at the moment."

Leeds fans won't want sympathy but there is no doubt that Jenas' views highlight the feeling among many neutrals.

Leeds need to find stability and fast if they are to make it into the Premier League again.

Jenas sounded sceptical, as will most Leeds fans be, that this can happen whilst Cellino remains in charge.
