The pundit was not impressed with the fan who threw a coin at the West Brom skipper.
And, with Brunt going over to the away fans at the end of the game, one supporter threw a coin that struck the skipper directly in the face.
Naturally, pundit Redknapp expressed his disapproval live on national television...
Redknapp told Match of the Day on Saturday evening: "It's cowardly, I hope they catch the culprit and ban him."
And the former Premier League boss certainly isn't alone.
Indeed, West Brom may have produced a very poor FA Cup display - which hasn't exactly helped what has been a dour season so far for fans - but the majority of supporters understand that violence and coin-throwing certainly isn't the answer.
Many West Brom fans have therefore taken to Twitter in support of Brunt and to agree with Redknapp.
As far as they are concerned, the cuplrit should very much be banned - and is no representative of West Bromwich Albion Football Club.
Just seen the Chris Brunt footage. Throwing coins is bad enough but at your own players and a servant like Brunty is disgraceful. #wba— Adam Bridge (@abridge75) February 20, 2016
Horrible to see Chris Brunt being hit close to his eye by a coin thrown at him. Regardless of whether the culprit was a WBA fan or not.— Christopher Yapp (@yappattack) February 20, 2016
Kids that are too young to know Albion without Chris Brunt. That is exactly how big a part of this club he is https://t.co/k2n2pydqyZ— Heidi Turner (@Heidi_wba) February 20, 2016
