The Tottenham midfielder has been discussing his manager.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier has summed Mauricio Pochettino up in one word - and his verdict is spot on, according to the Daily Mirror.

Indeed, the 22-year-old has chosen the word 'intense' to describe the Argentine.

And he believes the intense nature of Tottenham's training sessions has been the key difference for them this season, allowing them to 'out-power' opponents.

Dier is quoted as telling beIN Sport by the Mirror: "One word to describe the manager’s coaching style? I would say intense. We play very intense football. I think even without the ball, that’s what the manager wants, high intensity, straight until the end.

"Him and his assistants are ruthless over everything that happens in training, tactics, where you’ve got to run, body shape everything.

"Many games this season, we out-power, out-run and out-muscle opposition and I think that’s what those training sessions do to you."

How Pochettino turn Tottenham into title contenders - The Dier Masterstroke

Dier's summed it up perfectly and he clearly has the intelligence to convey exactly what it is Spurs work on behind the scenes.

Next up for Tottenham is an out-of-form Crystal Palace team who are short of goals. The FA Cup is famous for upsets but, if ever there was a time to feel confident ahead of a fifth-round tie, it's now for the north London side.

But Pochettino's approach will no doubt remain the same - as 'intense' as ever.
