Aston Villa fans respond to Pulis on Twitter after West Brom loss

Tony Pulis Interview - 23/02/2014

The Baggies were knocked out of the FA Cup by Reading, just a day after their manager took a few digs at the Villa...

Tony Pulis really was asking for trouble when the West Brom manager once again brought up Aston Villa before his side's fifth-round FA Cup tie with Reading...

Indeed, the Welshman is quoted as saying by the Birmingham Mail: "Going there a couple of days later in the cup and losing was really disappointing and hard to take because they were our rivals. But that was last year.

"This year, if you look at the two clubs there is one club in the fifth round and having a go at getting into the quarter-finals again. The other club is not there.

"This club is hopefully pushing hard to stay in the Premier League and the other club are fighting tooth and nail to try to stay in it. We have pushed on a little bit from last year."

Naturally, then, West Brom went and lost 3-1 at Reading to end their FA Cup hopes for another year...

And, needless to say, Aston Villa fans had a field day on Twitter when seeing the result. They had no qualms responding to Pulis's digs and are rather tired of the West Brom boss 'obsessing' over his Midlands rivals.

That said, the Aston Villa faithful have no problem with Pulis remaining in charge at the Hawthorns if he'll keep guiding the club to these kind of results - and implementing this 'dour' kind of football...

Here's how Aston Villa supporters reacted on social media as Pulis was left red faced by a determined Reading side...
