Video: West Ham United co-chairman David Gold swoops in to watch first-team training, in his helicopter

The West Ham boss had a great view of the session today.

West Ham United were hard at work today as Slaven Bilic puts his players through their paces ahead of the FA Cup tie against Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

The players were involved in a small training match as Bilic looked to see them in full flow and it seems that he was not the only one keen on seeing them in action.

The club's co-chairman David Gold wanted to swoop in for a closer look, and swoop in he did - in his helicopter.

This video on the official West Ham Twitter account shows what is said to be Gold's helicopter looming in to take a look at the action:

That is certainly a great view of a training session for the co-chairman.

Gold is very much an interested chairman. Whilst many of the big men at Premier League clubs tend to stay behind the scenes Gold is one who is not afraid to show his face and interact with the fans on a regular basis.

Hopefully he would have liked what he has seen from the team he has helped assemble during his Friday morning fly-by.
