The Crystal Palace striker has promised to celebrate if he scores at Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.
"Why am I not going to celebrate against Tottenham?" he is quoted as saying.
"Scoring goals is what I do best in my career. If I score against Tottenham, trust me, I’m going to celebrate."
And, judging by Adebayor's famous celebration against Arsenal, don't count against the Palace man sticking to his word.
Indeed, it would need the 31-year-old to actually score first - and Spurs' form suggests that will be difficult considering Crystal Palace's recent lack of goals.
But, should Adebayor manage the feat, could he do to his old club's fans what he did to Arsenal?
As the above video shows, few can forget the target man's epic run across the pitch just to celebrate in front of the Gunners faithful. The striker was at Manchester City back then and his journeyman career has now taken him to Selhurst Park.
Naturally, you'd assume Adebayor is far more mellow now that he's a little bit older. And that infamous Arsenal celebration really was one of a kind.
At White Hart Lane, however, in front of thousands of Tottenham supporters in the FA Cup, there's nothing stopping the Crystal Palace man from getting carried away. If he scores on Sunday, there could well be fireworks...
