Savage predicts Welbeck to score in Hull City clash

Arsenal host Hull City in the FA Cup this weekend.

Former Leicester City midfielder Robbie Savage has told William Hill Betting that Arsenal will win against Hull City in the FA Cup this weekend, with Danny Welbeck to again find the net on his return from injury.

The Gunners play Hull in the FA Cup for the third successive season, having beaten the Tigers in the 2014 final before eliminating Steve Bruce’s side on their way to another success last May.

Previewing the clash for William Hill Betting, Savage said that he feels that Arsene Wenger’s men will win, and has backed Welbeck to follow up his winner against Leicester City with another goal on Saturday.

“Arsenal have got a great record against lower-league teams. In the last 40 games, they’ve only lost one and I expect them to go through against Hull,” Savage told William Hill Betting.

“I think they’ll play a strong team. I’m going for an Arsenal win to nil with Danny Welbeck to get a goal.”

Hull, the current Championship leaders, have prioritised promotion this season with boss Steve Bruce likely to make a change in personnel for the trip to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal play Barcelona on Tuesday, but the domestic competitions will be the club’s bread and butter between now and May and that includes a potential third straight FA Cup success.

Welbeck is likely to feature, with the England international a popular figure this week following his recent last-gasp winner against Leicester City on his return to action from a lengthy injury layoff.

The former Manchester United man will be like a new signing for Arsene Wenger over the next few months, and his return could make a big difference in both domestic competitions.
