Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink admits that he cannot wait to be able to play Jack Robinson after defender's return from injury.
Queens Park Rangers manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has admitted to the club's official website that he cannot wait to be able to play Jack Robinson as the ex-Liverpool defender finally returns to fitness.
Since joining the Londoners from the Reds in 2014, 22-year-old full-back Robinson has failed to play a single minute of competitive first-team football for the club.
After arriving at Loftus Road he was immediately loaned out by the then-Premier League side to Championship club Huddersfield, where he was a key player, making 30 appearances in the league last season.
However, his loan spell at the Terriers was cut short by a knee injury sustained in March which has ruled him out of action ever since.
Since Robinson's arrival the Rs have gone through managers at an alarming rate without seeing the youngster play, but Hasselbaink, who is the third permanent boss in Robinson's spell, said that he cannot wait to finally get to see the former England Under-21s man in action.
The former Chelsea striker told the club's website: "Jack is getting closer and closer.
"We can’t wait until he is fully fit and able to show us and the fans what he’s got. We have got high hopes for him."
