Predicted Leeds United line-up to play Watford: Bamba back and surprise Carayol start in smart XI

Leeds United Crest

Leeds United take on Watford in the FA Cup this weekend.

Leeds United take on Watford in the FA Cup this weekend and will be hoping to cause something of an upset against the Premier League outfit.

So who will Steve Evans play in the game?

Leeds go into the game knowing that Chris Wood is out with a virus whilst Gaetano Berardi is potentially available, although unlikely to start the game.

Alex Mowatt is now back to fitness but Evans would seem unlikely to throw him in from the start.

One likely change is Sol Bamba coming in. The captain has been kept out in recent weeks by good form from Giuseppe Bellusci. However Watford striker Troy Deeney will love to face off with the Italian and Bamba should provide a sterner test.

The full-backs are likely to remain unchanged.

In midfield Leeds will want to contain possession when they have it. Toumani Diagouraga and Liam Bridcutt will do the dirty work whilst Lewis Cook will play just ahead of them - with the aim of linking up with the striker.

Out wide Stuart Dallas is always one of the first-names on the team-sheet. Mustapha Carayol is a rare starter, but catching Watford on the break is Leeds' best option this weekend and his pace could be a considerable weapon.

Up front it is a straight choice between Souleymane Doukara or Mirco Antenucci - and the Frenchman has the form.
