Everton will take on Premier League rivals Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening.
“Everton are infuriatingly inconsistent but, even so, I didn’t see their weekend 1-0 home loss to West Brom coming,” Owen wrote on Colossusbets.com. “And they won’t have it easy at Bournemouth either, having drawn the league fixture there 3-3.
“Bournemouth will not have been happy with their 3-1 defeat at home to Stoke on Saturday either, and the fact is that they have won only three of their 13 home games in the league and Everton have only lost one on the road. I expect that Everton will show what they are capable of here, and I take them to win 2-1.”
Bournemouth will head into the FA Cup tie against Everton on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Stoke City at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League.
The Cherries have lost their last two league matches, and they will be determined to return to winning ways.
Eddie Howe’s side are 15th in the league table at the moment with 28 points from 26 matches, just four points above the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Everton currently find themselves 11th in the Premier League table with 35 points from 26 matches.
Roberto Martinez’s side will head into the match against Bournemouth on the back of a 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion at Goodison Park in the league.
