Premier League outfit Watford will take on Championship side Leeds at Vicarage Road in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon.
“Watford should look to target a cup run now,” the former Watford winger wrote on Titanbet.co.uk while predicting a 3-0 win for the home team.
“Good league form means they’re safe from relegation, but qualification for Europe is a big ask. I can see them really going for this against a Leeds side not exactly setting the Championship alight.”
Watford will indeed be favourites to win against Leeds, and playing at home will also give the Hornets an advantage.
Quique Sanchez Flores’s side are doing well in the Premier League at the moment, and they will be keen on a good run in the FA Cup as well.
However, Watford should not be complacent against Leeds, who have proved time and time again this season that they can step it up against the big teams.
The West Yorkshire outfit will have nothing to lose at Vicarage Road, and this could make them play with more freedom and less pressure.
Watford are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 36 points from 26 matches. Meanwhile, Leeds currently find themselves 16th in the Championship table with 37 points from 31 games.
