When asked if Batshuayi was a target, Terzic said: “Yeah, we are always interested in improving the team and out performance levels. But these are things that are going to happen in a couple of months, so we can’t talk about it. We have a good squad, a great squad. And all the things that are going to happen in the summer, we have enough time to talk about that.”
The Hammers have been linked with Batshuayi of Marseille, with the Mirror claiming they are to battle Spurs for the 22-year-old this summer.
Batshuayi, a Belgian international, is considered one of the brightest talents in European football right now, and signing him would show off West Ham’s intent to challenge both domestically and in Europe.
He is a fantastic goalscorer, and considering he is so young, the team that can sign Batshuayi would have a top class forward on their books for the next decade.
West Ham are on the look out for a new striker in the summer due to the ongoing injury troubles they have faced with their forwards this term.
Terzic was coy on any interest in Batshuayi, but he certainly refused to reject that the Belgian striker is one of their targets ahead of the summer transfer window.
He has made it clear that Slaven Bilic wants to improve the team, and Batshuayi is the kind of signing that will make West Ham a better unit than they currently are.
