David Ginola said on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (February 19) that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not join Newcastle United in the summer transfer window.
Ibrahimovic has been on the books of Paris Saint-Germain since 2012 and has a contract until the end of the season.
Former Arsenal star Martin Keown recently wrote in The Daily Mail that he would be fascinated to see the Sweden international striker join Newcastle in the summer.
Former Newcastle star Ginola does not believe that the former Ajax star will move to the Magpies.
“I don’t see Zlatan going to Newcastle, going to sign for Newcastle,” said the former Tottenham Hotspur star on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (February 19). “It’s no disrespect to Newcastle, it’s just the fact that he is playing for Paris Saint-Germain, won many leagues, has played all over Europe."
Ibrahimovic is a world-class footballer and is one of the very few players who have become better with age.
Having played for the likes of Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan, it is very unlikely that the Swede would join a team like Newcastle.
Newcastle are one of the biggest clubs in England, but at the moment they are struggling for survival in the Premier League.
